Features of population policy:
Generally, the major features of any type of population policy can be listed  below.
population policy is an integral part  of economic planning and development activities. Population policy should be based on the philosophy of human being .Population policy covers the basic demographic component, fertility, mortality and migration . The government is responsible for formulating and implementing the appropriate and migration .Population policy also includes the concept of lad involve the support our family planning and family welfare .It should both government and voluntary agencies in the community.
Types of Population Policy:
Explicit Policies: Explicit policies are also known as direct policies .An explicit policy is a statement or document by a national government announcing its intention or plan to affect the country’s population growth and perhaps its distribution and /or composition, as well explicit population have been issued in a variety of forms, sections of development plans.


Implicit Policies: these type of policy are also known as indirect policies. Implicit policies are those  laws, regulations and other directives which  , although not necessarily issued for the purpose of affecting population growth, distribution or composition, have the affect of doing so . policies that influence population growth for e.g. polices  related to education , heath ,etc.
